I remember using Netscape because it loaded more web media. I also remember using Safari at school and it was cool because it was on a MAC. IE was pretty cool because it already came installed. Netscape later became old, IE later became very problematic, Opera was good because it was faster and had tabs. Now I use firefox because i can customize it to my liking. I'm thinking that the browser that ends up winning is pretty much the fastest, safest, and good gui.

Great timeline. Reminds me of the old times when you only had IE or Opera to chose. I used Opera a lot but it had those annoying ads on the top since it was a paid browser. Only if Opera had been free to use since the beginning it would have a better market share.
And Chrome has been the prettiest of browser right from its start. Maybe coz it came out in 2008. Firefox was and is still ugly
