Bell Labs Releases A New C Compiler
by
Salman Ul Haq | July 4, 2009
Bell Labs has released a paper explaining a couple of new C compilers which they have
developed over the last several years but claim that they are purely experimental in nature (I think all compilers ARE that way)
The paper has been written by Ken Thompson and this is what he has to say:
This paper describes yet another series of C compilers. These compilers were
developed over the last several years and are now in use on Plan 9. These compilers are
experimental in nature and were developed to try out new ideas. Some of the ideas were
good and some not so good.
