You might have guessed it by now. This app will make it possible for you to rotate the icons on your iPhone or iPod touch’s main screen (SpringBoard) just like you rotate any other item on the screen like the app screen or the movie you’re watching or photos.
This is happening. Believe it or not. Novell is going to release a new technology that will enable almost all of the Xbox 360 games to be ported on the iPhone and iPod touch. Now this is simply amazing. The great Xbox 360 gaming experience on your iPhone!
Well, Ballmer may not like it as was the case when a Microsoft employee last year tried taking Ballmer’s photos at a conference where he snatched the iPhone, threw it on the ground and pretended jumping on it. These scenes seem to be common at Redmond. So
Mr. Ballmer, when you cannot even convince your own employees to adopt Windows Phone then how will you court millions out there?
People said it’s just another enlarged version of iPod touch but Apple fans have proved them wrong. Google’s Nexus One sold only 20,000 devices in it’s release week and reports are that iPad has already sold 90,000 devices in just 6 hours! This is really impressive.
iPhone SDK 3.2 Beta 4 is out now for the new iPad developers (you need to be enrolled) which fixes some bugs including the Bookmark feature in Safari in the iPad simulator but something that comes as a surprise is the deliberate removal of the Camera Tab from the Photos app that will be shipped with iPad.
One of the most loved 3D fighting game and my favorite: Tekken is now coming to iPhone. FoneHome has confirmed that Tekken is at the end of development process and it will hopefully make an appearance in the App store in March 2010.
It’s not confirmed that it will be the classic version of Tekken or a scaled down version of Tekken 6. As reported by FoneHome:
Rumors are after all not always wrong. As expected and reported by ProgrammerFish, iPad pre-order will indeed begin from 12th March for the US consumers and the first iPad will be shipped beginning 3rd April 2010. There are some more exciting developments too.
If you are a Hollywood fan and you love Oscars then this is for you. I just spotted the free Oscars App on the Apple App Store that is officially from The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences. The app allows you to have a look at Oscar nominees, get insider information about movies, view trailers, make predictions and look at the predictions made by other users of the app.
The push notifications for hactivated (jailbroken and unlocked) iPhones never worked properly until PushFix 2.0 was out with a working solution. PushFix fixed the issue by providing each iPhone a unique certificate generated via IMEI number of the phone for $5.99. ‘Push Doctor’ is a free push fix solution that uses same unique certificate issuing technique. Push Doctor is created by Anethema and CmdShft.
Ever wanted to get the same or at least somewhat similar gaming experience on your iPhone or iPod touch? How about plugging Joy Stick into your device? With iControlPad you can get that same gaming experience on the go!
Yet another depiction of an artist’s vision of how iPhone 4G might look like. Notably, there’s a camera on the front panel which is a dream far fetched. For now. Besides this concept video from the ADR studios, there have been reports that iPhone 4G will have RFID. There were also rumors that iPhone 4G will be bigger then 3Gs.
Rumors are one thing but repeated revelations through different means is completely another. Apple released and then hurriedly pulled Beta 3 of iPhone OS SDK 3.2 (which is exclusively for iPad development) for unknown reasons. Some early adopters were able to get a glimpse of what appears that iPad may be equipped with camera.
Get ready folks. According to a ‘reliable source’ Apple will start the presale of iPad from as early as 25th February i.e. only 4 days from now! It’s also rumored that Wi-Fi only version will be available for now which is actually great if you are not travelling much. Having said that, it’s also quite possible for 3G version to emerge but that would take a bit longer considering that some network (like AT&T) has to sign the 3G network subscription and distribution deal with Apple.
Yet another exploit has been found in the latest released iPhone OS 3.1.3 by the infamous iPhone hacker George Hotz or @geohot as he’s better known. George is confident that those who have upgraded their iPhone 3G, 3Gs to OS 3.1.3 accidently or intentionally and could no longer jailbreak because of their baseband 05.12.01 should worry no more.
Jailbreaking an iPhone/iPod Touch or unlocking an iPhone removes restrictions on device applied by Apple and makes you able to enjoy advanced apps/features.
Jailbreaking and unlocking can be done easily with free tools available for everyone(check out our guide for Jailbreaking and unlocking iPhone). However you have to be careful with things like boot room and baseband compatibility etc before trying to unlock or jailbreak. F0recast helps you to know the basic information (specs) required to jailbreak or unlock your iPhone or iPod Touch. It helps you to know if your device is unlockable or tethered with just a simple USB connect.
