Today, Microsoft released Silverlight 4 Beta at PDC. Just a while ago, Channel 9 is updated with the new Silverlight 4 Training Course for developers. The course includes 7 units that will make you familiar with the development of new Silverlight 4 features.
The Silverlight 4 Training Course includes hands-on-labs, a video and a whitepaper designed to help you learn about the new features in Silverlight 4 focusing on three major areas: Enabling Business Application Development, Empowering Richer Experiences and Moving Beyond the Browser. Some of the new highly anticipated features include Printing, WebCam and Microphone support, custom right-click, rich text, HTML support and access to local files with trusted applications.
With the release of Office 2010 beta, Office Mobile 2010 beta for Windows Phone is also now available for download. Office Mobile 2010 contains Word, PowerPoint, Excel and SharePoint Mobile. This beta version will work till 5th April 2010. Previous versions of Microsoft Office Mobile that were installed after the phone was purchased will get uninstalled. If Microsoft Office Mobile came pre-installed on your phone then it will not be effected.
Today on 2nd day of PDC, The Microsoft Internet Explorer team showed the Alpha version of Internet Explorer 9 on which they started working just 3 weeks before the event. Most of the developers and users aren’t satisfied with the rendering behavior and application performance of Internet Explorer 8 so this time they are really concentrating on it. Let’s see what we will get when it’s available for download.
