Google has already announced it’s updated set of native apps for the iPad which will ship with it and now it has released a new interface for the GMail app for iPad with improved UI. The new GMail app can be accessed through Safari browser on the iPad or through the Mail app.

Google mobile team is still experimenting with the new UI but you can use it for now since it’s available. Here’s how it looks like:

It would feel so convenient to use Gmail with this 2 pane view with all your conversations on the left and messages on the right.

Besides Gmail, Google has also improved Youtube and Maps applications for the iPad. With Maps, you can now also access Street View in high quality.
