We have been addressing some of the common issues of the freshly released update by Microsoft, the Windows 8.1. Every new OS takes time, updates and fixes to get stable and Windows 8.1 is no exception. Users are experiencing a plethora of issues and bugs but we are here to provide efficient and easy solutions to the problems. In this post, we will tell you how to get rid of that intruding, painful Windows “tip” that tells you again and again that you can Switch between apps" by swiping from the edge”. That’s a good feature of Windows 8.1 but what if we don’t want to do this at the moment? No sir, the tip box will not move and inch and peruse you even to the compilers and running programs. You can do nothing if you don’t have a touch screen. Here is a screenshot of the awful and grisly tip box.
If you will try to kill the App by pressing Alt-f4, the thing will go for the moment and will return back on the opening of Settings App. If you will try to swipe from the mouse, you will end up deselecting the App itself so this foul has got you pinned! If you are using multi-monitor system, things will get worse for you because this “tip” will come in the center of the display and will not let you work! So how to dwindle this spoofing bait? We have a solution! Just follow the steps given below.
- Enter Local Group Policy Editor or gpedit.msc in the Search Bar.
- Expand User Configuration, Administrative Templates, Windows Components, and lastly Edge UI
- Double click on Disable Help Tips
