Rumors and leaks for Samsung Galaxy SIII jellybean had been floating around for past few weeks, however people were just teased with the information and they want jellybean on their Shiny new Samsung. Well we have set up a guide for you to “flash” the leaked ROM on your device, noted that your device must be rooted.


NOTE: Flashing your device will void your warranty, only go on if you are experienced with flashing android devices, we don’t claim any responsibility for bricked devices. Happy modding.

Prerequisites

  • Your device is rooted
  • You have clockwork recovery mod installed to flash the ROM

Steps

Follow the steps carefully; always backup your phone before flashing or messing with the system

Download Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean (Leaked Build: I9300XXDLG4) and ODIN v1.85. Find the link at the end of the post.

  1. Unzip the downloaded file.
  2. Backup your data and put your phone into download mode, do so by pressing Home + Power + Volume down button.
  3. Launch ODIN on your PC from the .zip you extracted in Step 2.
  4. Connect your Galaxy S III with your PC using a USB cable. ODIN will show a message saying it has recognized your device.
  5. From ODIN, click on PDA and chooseCODE_I9300XXDLG4_11164_REV00_eng_mid_noship.tar.md5 which will be inside the Jelly Bean ROM you extracted in Step 2.
  6. Ensure that you have unchecked re-partition. Click Start.
  7. As noted by a recognized developer on XDA, your device will probably now go into a boot loop . Remove your device’s battery and insert it again.
  8. Boot into ClockworkMod Recovery by pressing and holding Home + Power + Volume Up.
  9. Select wipe / factory reset.
  10. Select reboot system now.

Hopefully you will now boot into Jellybean, enjoy the latest flavor of android on your shiny new device.
