Think of interaction with computers more naturally, think of interacting with them with the movement of your hands. Microsoft’s researchers at the University of Washington in Seattle are working on a Muscle-Bound Computer interface that lets you interact with the computer by the movement of your muscles, allows for hands-free, gestural interaction. There are electrodes attached with the arm to identify the movements of muscles and serve as an interface for the computer.

This kind of interaction is nothing new and is being used for disabled people to help them catch up the normal daily life routine. But the research is mostly limited to those specific people. The approach for Muscle-Bound Computer Interface at Microsoft Research is general.

Not for just a PC, it also works with Microsoft Surface for things like finger interaction identification.
