Available for free on Windows 8 Marketplace, Photo studio is a very handy application. The application only takes around 4 MB of space and has much to offer with in. Once installed, it will take control of your picture history and load it up ready for editing; The issue with apps like instagram is that you never get to freely edit the pictures, with Photo Studio however, you get options like: Contrast, brightness, filters, colors, hue, saturation, crop and action sets at your disposal which makes your life a little bit easier.

To start using the application, just hit browse and select the picture you like. Once there, press the “OK” button and you image will be loaded. From there you are in control; to apply a filter, select the filter button from the bottom bar and an array of filters will show up, chose your desired filter and hit “Tick” button just like when you chose your picture. And there you go, your favorite filter has been applied:

Similarly, you can set and adjust saturation, contrast and brightness of the images as well, with the same procedure as mentioned above.

Once you feel that your image is ready to go, just hit the save icon at the top of your application window.
