How come nobody (including me) remembers the lady who created the first USABLE programming language: COBOL. I recall she was the only lady to reach Admiralcy in the US Navy.

Replace Linux Kernel for COBOL, and RoR for Lisp (or Logo, why not :P )

I repeat once more that Linux and RoR aren't programming languages.
And I'd like to add a personal opinion about C#: It's not at the level of Pascal or the other nine (eliminating Linux and RoR).

Cool!! Just one thing RoR is not a programming language (in the traditional definition) but a framework.
