It seems like the rumors are really coming to life. Specially when these rumors form part of Chinese news stories. According to China Times (yes, it’s China Times this time!), the next iPhone dubbed as iPhone 5 has already gone into trial production stage at Foxconn and a leaked sample iPhone 5 suggests that it will have an overhauled metallic back cover that will help solve the reception problem so rampant in iPhone 4.

Some photos were leaked on the web yesterday of (rumored) the next iPhone 5. It would have been a regular story that went unnoticed except that this time Apple intervened and took those videos detailing the design of the next iPhone from YouTube. This could only mean one thing: The leaked design photos have to be that of actual iPhone!

The Telegraph has reported that 30 people, mostly in the age group of 25 or less, have attempted suicide over the last 3 weeks alone at Apple’s iPad and other iDevices supplier factory, Foxconn. Foxconn has even sought help from a Buddhist “monk” to sort things out and cast away the evil spirits but it seems that the problem is arising more from pathetic working conditions and low wages rather then evil spirits.

Digitimes has reported that Apple has placed orders for CDMA iPhone (for Verizon Wireless) and production would reach up to 10 million each year. Pegatron, which was part of Asustek computer, has received the order and has declined to comment and so has Apple but it has given life to the already popular rumors about Verizon iPhone since Verizon Wireless has CDMA network unlike AT&T.

Maybe the punch line is not so descriptive but what follows here surely is. We reported back in July about how an employee of a company which is manufacturing iPhone 4G committed suicide after accidently losing a prototype of the next iPhone. Another day, another story of how Apple forces it’s suppliers to keep it’s upcoming gadgets secret. Sometimes this enforcement of security includes beating someone really bad.

Yes that’s true! News just came out that last Thursday 25 year-old Sun Danyoimageng, a fresh engineering graduate from China landed a job at Foxconn and was given the responsibility of shipping iPhone 4G prototypes from Foxconn to Apple. According to the news, there were 16 prototypes and one of them went missing which resulted in Sun being illegally interrogated and physically abused.
