Digitimes has reported that Apple has placed orders for CDMA iPhone (for Verizon Wireless) and production would reach up to 10 million each year. Pegatron, which was part of Asustek computer, has received the order and has declined to comment and so has Apple but it has given life to the already popular rumors about Verizon iPhone since Verizon Wireless has CDMA network unlike AT&T.
After travelling around California and then roaming around in Vietnam, Apple’s next iPhone 4G has landed safely in France where it’s expected to stay a few hours before making it’s way to God know where! More photos of iPhone 4G have emerged out of France now.
This is now going out of Apple’s hands. After the EPIC story of pre-release iPhone 4G landing into the hands of Gizmodo for a goodly sum of $5000 (reportedly) and then we saw a video showing the external assembly of iPhone 4G and now: A VIETNAMESE website has got hold on pre-release iPhone 4G and it’s definitely not a prank, the thing is original. 100%
Seems like Apple’s hold over it’s soon to be released iPhone 4G is almost lost since it’s the second leak in a month’s time. A suspected iPhone 4G metal case has been spotted in the wild – not a bar in California this time.
Finally here’s something that is confirmed beyond any doubt. Gizmodo got hold of iPhone 4G and it resulted in a big uproar among Apple fans and also resulted in Apple ‘requesting’ Gizmodo to return the device. Apparently, it seems like it is a marketing stunt from Apple since it’s the first time an Apple device got leaked before it’s official release. Anyways, now rumors and reality have been separated and we know what iPhone 4G will look like.
Apple store is down. Throw in your rumors as to what made them take off the store at a weekend night!? iPad section being updated? OR maybe iPhone 4G is going to pop up from somewhere beneath the earth right into the Apple Store? Who knows!
This is what greets you at the Apple Store’s main page:
Update:
It seems like Apple has run out of iPad and that’s the reason why delivery date for new pre-order has been extended to 12th April from 3rd April

Well, kind of. With the new Sprint ad claiming that with it’s small 4G mobile hub, you can enjoy 4G internet speeds, which it claims to be almost 10 times faster then the current AT&T 3G speeds. Practically that would make your iPhone 3G/3Gs into iPhone 4G in no time!
Yet another depiction of an artist’s vision of how iPhone 4G might look like. Notably, there’s a camera on the front panel which is a dream far fetched. For now. Besides this concept video from the ADR studios, there have been reports that iPhone 4G will have RFID. There were also rumors that iPhone 4G will be bigger then 3Gs.
Maybe the punch line is not so descriptive but what follows here surely is. We reported back in July about how an employee of a company which is manufacturing iPhone 4G committed suicide after accidently losing a prototype of the next iPhone. Another day, another story of how Apple forces it’s suppliers to keep it’s upcoming gadgets secret. Sometimes this enforcement of security includes beating someone really bad.
Overview
Apple has an invitation only event on 27th Jan. The much awaited iPhone 4G iSlate may get unveiled or introduced at the event.
Discussions
Clayton Morris said the event will focus on the three products, but new iPhone hardware will not be introduced. However, he said, iPhone OS 4.0 (which he referred to as "iPhone 4") will be a part of the proceedings.
"I spoke to a source at Apple this morning, before the invite hit my inbox, who said the event would likely focus on three projects: The tablet device, iPhone 4, and a new round of iLife 2010 software," Morris wrote. "While we won't see new iPhone hardware just yet, we will see the next-generation software"

We all heard about iPhone 4G and what happens when someone loses the prototype. There have been rumors revolving around the specs of the next iPhone but the question is that should we really call it 4G since we still don’t know if it will comply 4G standard. So what are the prospects if it does comply the 4G standard? Well here’s a quick comparison:
Yes that’s true! News just came out that last Thursday 25 year-old Sun Danyong, a fresh engineering graduate from China landed a job at Foxconn and was given the responsibility of shipping iPhone 4G prototypes from Foxconn to Apple. According to the news, there were 16 prototypes and one of them went missing which resulted in Sun being illegally interrogated and physically abused.
A recent patent filed by Apple talks of an authentication mechanism based on a key that is embedded physically in a device and can be communicated remotely. Even though the exact words open up a bundle of possible solutions to implement this mechanism BUT there are strong rumors which cannot be just ignored.
