Even though there are a hundred questions against the possibility of Flash format every running on an iDevice (iPod touch, iPhone and iPad) but Comex, the famous iPhone hacker who managed to released an untethered jailbreak for iPod touch, iPhone and iPad, has uploaded a demo video showing his iPhone connected to his laptop through USB connector and running Flash inside an app (that he had apparently written).

The video quality is extremely poor but you can make out the objects moving around in the app. Notice right at the start that there is no icon design for the app which confirms even more that he is testing his own app ‘apparently’ running Flash content.

See the video demo after the break.

If this definitely is Flash running on his iPhone then it’s implications would be immense. First, this is solid proof that Flash can run smooth on an iDevice, second, it will open flood gates of apps that would use Flash content (videos, games, animations etc). But these apps have to make their way into your iDevice through stores other then Apple’s App Store since no app that is written using 3rd party frameworks is allowed in the ‘walled garden’ aka App Store.

There is no word from Adobe on this but Steve will definitely not be happy about it.
